My friend Tiago spent almost a year (if not more) recommending me the book “Designing Your Life”.
Even though I haven’t finished it, I started it a few months ago and keep coming back to this specific idea pointed out by the authors.
To have a well-designed life you should focus on “problem finding” as much as problem-solving since that’s what allows you to be sure you’re working on the right things, having a positive impact on your life.
Think about it.
What’s the use of being very good at solving the wrong problems?
You can’t fix a relationship by solving your dieting problems. You can’t fix the “I want to be home with my kids” problem with the “I’ll find another job” solution.
Knowing what problem to solve is a manifestation of Métis, a sign of true wisdom.
