Today I was fortunate enough to do one of my favorite things in life: spending the afternoon with a bunch of high schoolers.
I truly don’t understand why people think that “this generation is lost”.
Sure, they thought that I was 36 which is a hate crime, but other than that, let me tell you what I saw today.
I saw a bunch of kids wanting to get better, support each other, make new friendships, go through new experiences, caring about social issues, and actually wanting to act upon them.
I saw them laugh, play, think, talk, reflect…
I saw them excited, slightly afraid, vulnerable, joyful…
Yeah, I don’t think this generation is lost.
I think it’s going just where it needs to go.
Towards wisdom.
