He’s a writer. A brilliant one.
He’s the mind behind “The Sandman”, “Coraline”, “American Gods” (the book that originated the tv series), and “Good Omens” with another great author, Terry Pratchett.
Both of them did a signing of their book in Manhattan.
No one came.
You read that right. No one appeared to see these 2 great authors.
They were supposed to be there for two hours but after one, without anyone coming to see them, they just got back to the hotel and told the manager in the bookstore that, if anyone appeared, they would be at the bar and could get a signed copy.
No one did.
And yet, here we are, bummed out because “not enough people read our newsletters/like our tweets/come to our events”.
Getting close to Métis and to a Modern Golden Age comes with the ability to have patience and understand that, sometimes, regardless of your “level”, things turn out bad. It’s how we handle it that makes the difference.
