People have a tendency to believe they fully understand a specific context until they actually have to experience it.
I talked about the importance of having “skin in the game” on Day 21, but this time I would like to bring back awareness of this tendency for another reason.
You see a lot of people comment on stuff that they have no experience with. That’s bad. But there’s an even worse level.
When individuals in “the arena” actually listen to those outside voices.
For some reason, “builders” (people trying to come up with something new to their lives) act upon the opinions of others, even though they’re based out of thin air.
Why?
I truly believe that’s due to a lack of feedback. People get so desperate to know something that even nonsense gets taken seriously.
So, what if we started to give more positive feedback on stuff we actually have experience with, helping others to get better at it?
I truly believe that would be the right path into a Modern Gonde Age.
