I live in an area where most people belong to a specific minority.
There’s this political party that got this big billboard near the subway, with a big picture of a woman from this minority and a catchy slogan.
I don’t know why but I find that somehow uneasy, shady, and manipulative.
I would love to see that same billboard but in the center of Lisbon or in one of the central subway stations.
Our worldview is based on the kind of stimuli we get. But there’s an inquisitive nature we should have, to make sure we see beyond the things around us.
If not, we’ll let our perception be guided by forces we can’t even acknowledge.
