A lot of the time I get asked to design different workshops or to give some coaching when it comes to designing learning experiences (classes, courses, workshops, etc).
There are various stages in doing such a thing, but one of the first ones is to design your learning goals.
Here are 4 questions you should take into account while going through that process:
Who are the learners?
What will they be able to do afterward?
What are the contexts where their performance is going to be evaluated and practiced?
What are the tools they need to learn how to use?
If a learning goal answers, at least, one of these questions, it’s a guarantee that you’re going in the right direction.
If you want to know more about the art of pedagogy and building such experiences, let me know. I can write a few more short bursts like this one about it.
I truly believe education is the key to praising Métis and getting to a Modern Golden Age. Teaching how to teach, then, become something essential and I want to be of help to anyone who might need it.
thanks for sharing! i'd love to learn more about this. can you also include examples of how you incorporate these questions into your own work?
