…is not about forcing a given framework into reality but actually having a balance between the opportunities that arise in the present and the duties you have to your future version.
For a long time, I projected this very rigid set of habits into my own life.
To be honest, my ego got pretty happy. I could tell people that I had done x,y and z for a given amount of days. But I was pretty miserable while doing that.
Why? Because they were so many things that would help me improve, grow and become happier that I didn’t do because I was forcing this framework in my life!
I told myself that it was discipline and a price to pay for that. Now, I understand it was pure selfishness and ego.
The real way to implement discipline, in my own opinion, is to make sure that you enjoy the different opportunities arising in your day-to-day while not compromising certain principles.
And the best way to do this is to have minimum viable actions in all the areas that matter and make sure that those are aligned with what you want and that you do them no matter what.
That way you can live your life in the present while making sure you’re doing everything to get a better future.
That’s the way to praise Métis.
